A Listowel nursing home has received broad praise from the national health watchdog following a recent unannounced inspection.
The Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) concluded that residents of Áras Mhuire Nursing Home in Greenville enjoy a good quality of life.
HIQA conducted the inspection on 23rd January, assessing the home against the National Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People.

The HIQA social services inspector found that residents experienced a high quality of life, with care that was person-centred and respectful of their autonomy and rights.
Overall, Áras Mhuire Nursing Home was deemed compliant.
