Listowel Literary Festival gets under way this evening.
This year’s festival marks a collaboration between the Kerry Writers’ Museum, Listowel Writers’ Week and St John’s Theatre and Arts Centre.
They’ve come together to deliver a programme that celebrates the written and spoken word.

The event will officially open tonight with the prestigious awards ceremony in The Listowel Arms Hotel at 8pm.
It’ll run until Sunday and will include book launches, lectures, workshops and theatre events.
