Lifeguards are on duty at most Blue Flag beaches across Kerry today.
Kerry County Council will have 43 lifeguards this summer across the county's 13 Blue Flag beaches.
However, beach goers are being reminded that lifeguards are only on duty if a lifeguard flag is flying.
The council says generally lifeguards will be on duty during specific times, namely between 12 noon and 7 o'clock in the evening Monday to Friday, and from 11am to 7pm on weekends and bank holidays until September.
However, these times are subject to the availability of lifeguards.
There are no lifeguards on duty at Fenit today.
Kerry County Council stressed that if there is no flag, there is no lifeguard on duty.
