Labour’s Kerry candidate says his party will address garda recruitment and retention if elected

Labour’s general election candidate in Kerry says his party has a bold plan to rebuild An Garda Síochána.

Mike Kennedy claims that successive governments have failed to address recruitment and retention of the gardaí.

He says, if elected, Labour plans to implement changes to improve policing numbers.

Mike Kennedy says upgraded training salaries, additional occupational pensions and increased civilian staff for admin work are among the party’s pledge.
