Those planning on climbing Carrauntoohil this St. Stephen's Day (26th December) are being reminded to prepare carefully for the endeavour.
That's the advice of Kerry Mountain Rescue Team (KMRT) PRO, Robert Fell.
The long-standing tradition of climbing Ireland's highest peak (1,038m) after the excesses of Christmas Day attracts hundreds every year.
Mr Fell emphasised the importance of proper footwear, clothing, and bringing essentials like phones, torches, maps, and compasses.
