A Killarney woman is in the running to represent Ireland in the Miss Universe competition.
Alexandra Mae Gemenino, originally from the Philippines, moved to Ireland when she was 17 and is a proud citizen of Ireland for 15 years.
She’s been named as a finalist in Miss Universe Ireland for this year, which is the national competition to select the woman who will represent Ireland at the global Miss Universe final.

The winner of Miss Universe Ireland will receive an exclusive prize package along with the honour of representing Ireland at the global final, which will feature over 100 countries.
Miss Universe Ireland will be chosen at the grand final on 20th June at an event in Dublin.
