A Killarney native is celebrating a Grammy win this morning.
Master engineer Ruairi O’Flaherty was credited in four nominations across two categories for the awards, which took place in Los Angeles last night.
“luther” by Kendrick Lamar and SZA won Album of the Year, and O'Flaherty is named as part of the team that produced the winning record.
The Killarney man, was also part of the team behind Album of the Year nominees GNX by Kendrick Lamar and Man’s Best Friend by Sabrina Carpenter, as well as Record of the Year nominee “Manchild” by Sabrina Carpenter.
This isn't the first time that Ruairí, a senior master engineer at the acclaimed Sterling Sound studio, has been nominated for the prestigious awards.
Last year, the Killarney man was recognised for his work on Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, as well as St. Vincent’s All Born Screaming.
