Killarney Municipal District’s new Cathaoirleach is Niall Kelleher.

The Fianna Fáil councillor won a vote for the role by 4 to 3, with Independent Donal Grady losing out.

Councillor John O’Donoghue has taken the role of Leas Cathaoirleach of the Killarney MD, also following a vote with Maura Healy-Rae.

It’s the second term of Cathaoirleach for councillor Niall Kelleher, who says his main priority is the junction of Upper Lews Road and the Killarney Bypass.
