Kerry's Ukrainian community anxious but hopeful about ongoing peace talks

The Ukrainian community in Kerry is anxious but hopeful about the ongoing peace talks concerning their home country.

That's according to Olena Marina who was a professor of philology in Kiev and now works at MTU Kerry.

She was speaking as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his wife Olena Zelenska continue their first official state visit to Ireland.

Olena Marina took the opportunity to remember the late Jim Finucane's legacy on the Ukrainian community in Kerry.

The former Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council had been sworn in as the honorary consul to the Ukrainian embassy in the south-west of Ireland two weeks before his death last month:
