Today marks the fourth anniversary of Russia’s mass invasion of Ukraine.
A rally of solidarity will take place in The Square, Tralee from 12.30 to 1.30pm.
Natalia Krasnenkova is a community worker with NEWKD – North East and West Kerry Development – which is organising today’s rally.
She thanks Irish people for their support and says it’s vital now more than ever.
NEWKD has organised a market to raise funds for a Ukrainian children’s charity; this’ll take place at Áras an Phobail, Tralee from 4pm.
Programme manager Robert Carey says the people of Ukraine have had to contend with disinformation about their country’s invasion.
He says the rally in The Square allows Ukrainian voices to be heard.
