The February bank holiday weekend and St Patrick’s Day were very busy in Kerry’s hospitality and tourism industry.
Chair of Kerry Tourism Industry Federation Pat O'Leary says the reports from the industry in the county after both weekends were very positive.
He was responding to figures released from the CSO which stated there was a 30% drop in the number of tourists visiting Ireland in February.
He says January and February are traditionally not tourism months.
Pat O’Leary says concerts and sporting events normally bring people in during these months, but he claims these types of events were down this year.
