The CEO of Tourism Ireland is addressing the county’s tourism and wider business community at a conference in Killarney this morning.
The conference, which is being held at The Brehon Hotel & Spa, is at the centre of Tourism Day 2026 organised by the Kerry Tourism Industry Federation.
At Kerry Tourism Industry Federation Tourism Day, Tourism Ireland CEO Alice Mansergh will outline overseas market performance, emerging travel trends, and Ireland’s competitive position globally with a focus on how Kerry can capitalise on opportunities in key international markets.
The other speakers are CEO of Kerry County Council Fearghal Reidy, Miriam Kennedy, head of the Wild Atlantic Way at Fáilte Ireland, Fergal Brosnan CEO of the RDI Hub based in Killorglin, global financial markets expert and academic Mike O’Sullivan, and writer and publican Billy Keane on the importance of pubs to Kerry tourism, culture, and society.
Major opportunities for Kerry including the Ryder Cup which will be held in Adare next year will also be discussed.
Chair of the Kerry Tourism Industry Federation Pat O’Leary says tourism in the county is not one single sector but a network of businesses and communities and that this is reflected in the diversity of speakers at today’s conference.
