Kerry TD warns about email scam purporting to be couple seeking wedding venue

Kerry people are being warned about an email scam, purporting to be from a couple seeking a wedding venue in the county.

Sinn Féin TD Pa Daly received an email in recent days from a woman claiming to be recently engaged and in the process of planning her wedding.

The name used by the sender corresponds with an existing social media account.

Despite his office outlining his occupation, Deputy Daly received a second email with an attachment containing a link to an unknown site.

People are being advised to not click on any attachment from a sender they do not know.
