Kerry TD Pa Daly has slammed the Taoiseach’s advice on Radio Kerry to schools which have been told they’re to lose SNAs.
Following a review by the National Council for Special Education, Fossa National School was told it will lose four of its ten SNAs, and Glenflesk National School has been told it will lose one of its two SNAs.
Speaking to Radio Kerry in Tralee yesterday, Micheál Martin told the schools to appeal this decision to the NCSE, and he will have the situation reviewed.
Kerry Sinn Féin TD Pa Daly says this has been a devastating blow to pupils, teachers, and their parents, and that “you couldn’t make up” the Taoiseach’s answer.
Deputy Daly said the Taoiseach’s response is not going to cut it, and he should be telling them they are not going to lose their SNAs.
