A Kerry Sinn Féin TD says opposition parties are not ruling out a Dáil walkout today.
Pa Daly was speaking ahead of this afternoon’s vote on the controversial issue over speaking time.
In February, the Dáil reform committee passed a government proposal on chamber speaking rights by 10 votes to 8.
The plans, which are before the Dáil today, would allocate new speaking times for independent TDs who support the government as well as backbench deputies.
Kerry TD Danny Healy-Rae is one of these independent deputies.
Deputy Pa Daly says claims that the proposal is not cutting into opposition speaking time, are completely false:
Meanwhile, Deputy Pa Daly says it’s important politicians give all relevant information when raising issues in public.
The Sinn Féin spokesperson on climate was responding to claims made by Independent Ireland TD for Cork North Central, Ken O’Flynn.
Deputy O'Flynn claimed that the State had paid several thousand euro worth for repairs to cars owned by Ukrainians in receipt of Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection.
Pa Daly says, what he described as half truths, do not help anyone.
The Sinn Féin TD says additional need payments are means tested and available to people receiving social welfare.
