Kerry TD believes Climate Action Bill will disadvantage rural Ireland

The Green Party is holding the Government to ransom on climate change, according to an Independent Kerry TD.

Michael Healy Rae believes the Climate Action Bill will disadvantage rural Ireland, farmers and those suffering from fuel poverty.

The new legislation, which was passed in the Dail last night, aims to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.

But Deputy Healy Rae feels others will suffer to keep the Greens happy.
