Kerry taxi driver tells Oireachtas Committee that national taxi booking app is needed

The Chairman of the Tralee Taxi Association has called for the development of a national taxi booking app.

Terry Boyle spoke to the Joint Committee on Transport earlier today on issues facing the taxi industry.

In his opening statement he said that multinational taxi platforms, such as Uber and Bolt, have caused a decline in rural business.

He has proposed that the National Transport Authority create a taxi booking app to combat this issue:
