Residents of a Kerry centre for people with disabilities were found to be comfortable and content in their home.
The Health Information and Quality Authority carried out an unannounced inspection at The Reeks, which is run by St John of God Community Services.
The Reeks was found to be compliant across nine areas of the Health Act 2007, and substantially compliant in one area, which was resident’s rights.
The inspector stated the provider was actively progressing plans regarding residents’ rights, and residents were comfortable and content there.
A compliance plan is in place at the centre to improve the area of residents’ rights.
