A Kerry senator wants the GAA to reveal how much revenue has been generated from its streaming platform GAA+.
Fine Gael senator Mike Kennelly posed the question to GAA President Jarlath Burns, as he and other representatives from the association appeared before the Oireachtas Sports Committee yesterday.
Senator Kennelly says putting Kerry games behind a paywall is damaging to GAA grassroots.
He asked the association how much revenue the streaming platform GAA+ has generated:
GAA President Jarlath Burns told Senator Kennelly that he was there to discuss the planned integration of the Camogie Association and Ladies’ Gaelic Football Association into the GAA.
However, he responded to his question stating all streaming platforms are reluctant to provide figures in relation to viewership.
