HSE South West and local community health teams are inviting parents across the county to attend free RSV immunisation clinics.
The clinics are open until the first week in October.
RSV is a common virus that causes coughs and colds, and is the main cause of bronchiolitis and pneumonia in very young children.
RSV immunisation significantly reduces the risk of hospitalisation and admission to intensive care units for babies and small children.
Clinics supporting parents across Kerry will continue to operate for the next 3 weeks.
Parents of babies born between September 1st 2025 and February 28th 2026 will be offered the immunisation before hospital discharge.
