Groups and organisations in Kerry are to benefit from funding under the local biodiversity action fund, and the walks scheme.
A total of over €96,000 has been announced under the local biodiversity action fund 2026, for six projects in the county.
These include the hare’s corner; eradiciton of invasive plant species in the Castleisland, Corca Dhuibhne and Listowel MDs; and managing biodiversity at land banks.
Meanwhile, over €56,000 has been announced for Kerry under the walks scheme development fund.
South Kerry Development Partnership and North East West Kerry Development Partnership will both benefit.
The funding has been welcomed by Equality Minister Norma Foley, Fianna Fáil TD Michael Cahill, and Fine Gael Senator Mike Kennelly.
