Minister Norma Foley says she was honoured to present Pope Leo with a piece of Kerry during her visit to the Vatican to mark St Patrick’s Day.
The Kerry Fianna Fáil TD presented Pope Leo with a crafted Naomhóg Dingle Crystal bowl, and Ballinskelligs Shamrock, at St Peter’s Square in the Vatican.
Minister Foley is the first Irish government minister to meet with Pope Leo.

Pope Leo thanked Minister Foley for the bowl of shamrock, and mentioned the St Patrick’s Day celebrations in his home city of Chicago, where they dye the river green.
