Kerry Gardaí campaign for safe trick or treating

Gardaí in Kerry have launched a campaign to ensure that everyone has a positive trick or treating experience this Halloween.

The two sided waterproof door hangers have been designed to give people the option of answering the door.

Red is for stop, meaning "No Trick or Treaters" while the green side is for go "Trick or Treaters Welcome".

This is the second year of the campaign, started by Garda Patricia Fitzpatrick of the Community Policing Unit.

Last year, the initiative was shortlisted at the National Age Friendly Recognition and Achievement Awards.

The door hangers can be collected from Tralee, Killarney and Listowel Garda stations.
