Farmers across Kerry are in Athlone at a demonstration calling for the rejection of the Mercosur deal.
The protesters are fighting the deal that would allow for an influx of South American beef to enter the EU market.
Farmers are concerned that the deal will have an impact on the integrity and quality of beef on the shelves.
Speaking ahead of the protest today, chair of the Kerry branch of the IFA Jason Fleming has praised the turnout of the Kerry delegation:
He said it's vital that farmers call on irish MEPs to vote no on the deal in two weeks time.
