It's claimed the Kerry Education and Training Board will seek a meeting with the council about using a prominent Killarney site in the coming days.
At the recent municipal district meeting, Labour councillor Marie Moloney said the ETB has plans to expand to Killarney.
She told MD manager Angela McAllen that the ETB will get in contact shortly, with a view to speaking to the local authority about the vacant Pretty Polly site in the town.

Councillor Moloney said the ETB's intention to expand was good news for the town.
