A Kerry estate agent says it’s unlikely any private student accommodation will be built in Tralee any time soon.
Paul Stephenson of Sherry Fitzgerald Stephenson Crean says the cost of building apartments is not viable in most of the country at the moment.
Figures from the Department of Housing show that in the first 11 months of 2025, building commenced on just 25 new apartments in Kerry.
