A Kerry County Councillor says striking school secretaries and caretakers just want fairness.

Fine Gael councillor for the Kenmare Municipal District, Teddy O'Sullivan Casey, is calling on the government, which include his own party, to engage in talks to reach a satisfactory outcome.

Cllr O'Sullivan Casey also works as a secondary school caretaker.

School secretaries and caretakers are in their third day of industrial action in an effort to be included in the Single Public Service Pension Scheme and other entitlements.
