Kerry County Council (KCC) is advancing plans for approximately 70 social housing units on council lands at Ballydribbeen, Killarney.
It also intends to build five apartments at Fleming’s Lane in Killarney.
At the recent MD meeting, councillor Maura Healy-Rae asked for an update on a survey she had requested several months ago into council-owned sites within the town that could potentially be developed for housing.

She was told that following a review of available sites, it had identified the Fleming’s Lane site.
Management at Killarney Municipal District told councillors that it expects to commence the Part-8 Planning process for the apartments before July.
