A Kerry Fianna Fáil councillor says he'd support Bertie Ahern getting his party's nomination to contest the Presidency.
Cllr Michael Leane, who is the Cathaoirleach of Listowel Municipal District, says Mr Ahern was a great leader of Fianna Fáil for over 14 years.
Cllr Leane says the former Taoiseach played a defining role in Irish history with the peace process.

Taoiseach and Fianna Fáil leader Mícheál Martin is expected to make an announcement over the coming week in relation to the party’s plans for the presidency.
