A Kerry barrister has been appointed to the Board of the Irish Writers' Centre.
Patrick Barrett, a practicing barrister from Killarney, joins the national support organisation for writers.
Founded in 1991, the Irish Writers' Centre is Ireland’s leading resource and development organisation for writers.
Mr Barrett is a practicing barrister with a strong focus on governance, regulatory compliance, and public service.
He is one of seven new members being welcomed to the board of directors, as the centre enters a new chapter under new CEO Mags McLoughlin.
