Kerry Airport's annual accounts show 15% increase in after-tax operating profits

Kerry Airport's annual accounts show a 15% (14.6%) increase on 2023's after-tax operating profit.

The annual report and accounts for the 12-month period ending on the 31st December 2024 report an operating profit of almost €1.4 million (€1,373,300).

This is up from almost €1.2 million (€1,198,347) in 2023's after-tax operating profit.

Over 417,000 (417,409) passengers flew through Kerry Airport in 2024; the third highest passenger numbers in the airport’s history.

The chief financial officer of Kerry Airport, Basil Sheerin, said the results are particularly welcome in light of the over €4.4 million in capital expenditure planned for 2025.

The new arrivals hall opened in March, while the departures hall expansion is due to be completed by the end of July.

The accounts report strong performances in their fuel, gift shop/duty free, and car park operations.

However, administrative expenses are said to remain a challenge, with increased costs in wages, local authority rates, energy, and maintenance putting pressure on their gross profit margin.
