Kerry County Council has received two top accolades at the Excellence in Local Government Awards.
The awards are hosted by Chambers Ireland in partnership with the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage.
Blas Beo received the Celebrating Irish Language & Culture Award.
This award recognised the community-led programme at Teach Siamsa Finuge, that promotes, celebrates, and strengthens the Irish language across North Kerry.
The Island of Geese - New Urban Quarter - Tralee received the Urban Revival Award.
This award recognises how the project marks a significant step in the town’s regeneration, promoting sustainable and long-term development for Tralee.
Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Cllr Michael Foley, paid tribute to the staff and management of Kerry County Council on securing two awards, noting that they reflect the dedication and collaborative spirit of Council staff, partners, and local communities.
