Irish Water has agreed to replace two sections of problematic water pipes in Listowel.

The section of water mains on both Bridge Road and Church Street have broken up to six times in the past 18 months.

The utility had previously said neither location was on its priority list despite the majority of the town being left without water when the Church Street section breaks.
