An historic South Kerry hotel has been put on the market.
The Butler Arms, which was built over 140 years ago, is understood to have a guide price of €6 million.
The 36-bedroom property, which is located on the seafront in Waterville was sold by the Huggard family in 2022 for an undisclosed amount.
The Press Up hospitality group who acquired the property, went into receivership in March.
The sale, which is by private treaty, is being undertaken on the instructions of joint receivers Ken Fennell and Brendan O’Reilly.
Selling agents, JLL, say the hotel ownership have prepared a plan to upgrade facilities to create an outdoor pool and to increase capacity to 87 guestrooms, subject to planning permission.
