Gráinne O’Hare has won the 2026 Kerry Group Irish Novel of the Year Award at Listowel Writers’ Week.
She won the award, which carries a prize fund of €20,000, for her novel Thirst Trap.
The award is Ireland’s longest running and one of the most esteemed literary honours in Ireland.
The 55th anniversary of Listowel Writers’ Week officially opened last night by Miriam O’Callaghan.
The festival continues until 31st May and includes writing workshops, book launches, historical walks and exhibitions.
