Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce has called on government representatives to provide all support they can in the wake of more than 50 job losses in the town.
Its co-president, Johnny McGuire made the plea in the wake of the closure of the Killarney Brewing & Distilling Company.
The business will cease operations at its premises including the brewery, whiskey distillery and visitors' centre in Fossa; while its premises on the Muckross Road is also affected.
Mr McGuire described the ongoing threat of tariffs as detrimental and believes the world economy is in a state of uncertainty as a result.
