Gardaí are searching for a man of "significant interest" in connection with the death of a woman in Killarney.
Jamey Carney was found dead at her home on Muckross Road on Tuesday.
The investigation has been updated to a murder inquiry, with Gardaí appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The state pathologist Dr Linda Mulligan has completed a post-mortem examination on the Ms Carney's remains.
Gardaí say the results are not being released for operational reasons.
The scene at Muckross Road, Killarney remains preserved, and a technical examination is continuing.
Investigators are working with other authorities on the case.
