Gardaí in Kerry are appealing to parents to familiarise themselves with the regulations and the dangers associated with e-scooters.
In the past week, Gardaí in the county carried out targeted operations in relation to the illegal use of e-scooters and e-bikes.
A number of vehicles were seized in these operations, and fixed charge notices were issued to drivers; some of the drivers were juveniles and they've been referred to the Juvenile Diversion Programme.

Gardaí are warning that these vehicles are not toys and says it's illegal for anyone under the age of 16 to use one of these vehicles on a public road.
