Gardaí have seized €20,000 worth of cannabis and detained a vehicle in Kenmare.
It follows a day of action conducted by An Garda Síochána in the area yesterday, which also led to the arrest of a disqualified driver.
The Kerry Divisional Drugs Unit, Kerry Detective Unit and the Kerry South Community Engagement Functional Area of An Garda Síochána carried out yesterday's operation in Kenmare.
Suspected herbal cannabis worth an estimated €20,000 was seized during the searches of domestic residences, which were executed under warrant.
A number of roadside searches and checkpoints also took place.
One person was arrested and charged for driving while disqualified, and their vehicle was seized.
Gardaí also detected two instances involving the possession of controlled drugs for sale or supply and three relating to the possession of controlled drugs.
Inspector Kevin Long said he believes the results of the operation will restricting the sale and supply of drugs in the Kenmare area and said gardaí will be making follow up arrests and carrying out further investigations.
