Four new Gardaí will be stationed in Kerry.
Over 200 new Gardaí, of which 142 are men and 64 are women, became sworn members of the force today.
The southern region will be allocated 25 new Gardaí, with four newly sworn officers to be deployed in Kerry.
There will be two new Gardaí allocated to Listowel, one to Tralee and one to Killarney.
These appointments have been welcomed by Kerry TDs Minister Norma Foley, Michael Cahill, and Danny Healy-Rae, and Fine Gael Senator Mike Kennelly.
