A surprise gig by the Foo Fighters in Dingle and Jessie Buckley's historic BAFTA win prove that Kerry is a centre of vibrant arts and culture.

The Foo Fighters played a secret gig in St James' Church in Dingle yesterday to mark the 25th year anniversary since the Other Vocies festival was founded.
Last night, Killarney native Jessie Bukley won the Leading Actress BAFTA for her performance in Hamnet, making her the first Irish actress to win in this category; she also won an IFTA on Friday night.
Caroline Boland says it was huge for the county that one of the biggest bands in the world performed in West Kerry, and she paid tribute to Philip King and all those involved with the Other Voices festival.
