A Fine Gael Kerry County Councillor says he understands the frustrations of those advocating drastic solutions to the housing crisis.
Cllr Tommy Griffin was elected for the first time nearly a year ago, to represent the Castleisland-Corca Dhuibhne Municipal District.
He says he is exasperated by the slow progress on fixing the housing problem in Ireland.
He was reacting to a proposal by a Mayo County Council official to boycott holiday home owners, but Cllr Griffin stressed this is not the way to go.
