Extension to Portmagee Pier will be essential to local livelihoods

Delays to a long-awaited extension of Portmagee Pier may have already hurt local livelihoods.

That's according to Kenmare MD councillor Tommy Cahill, who says the project will be vital for fishing, tourism, and the local community.

Kerry County Council have confirmed that the application for a Maritime Area Consent has passed MARA’s completeness check and is expected to go to decision by the end of this month.
