An educational charity with a national school in Tralee is urging the Department of Education to launch a national survey to determine parent's preferences in school patronage.
Educate Together offer an alternative to traditional denominational schools.
Tralee Educate Together National School opened in 2002 and was the first school in the county to offer a non-denominational educational setting.
The group hope to work with more Kerry families and communities in the future and are encouraging parents to highlight their school preferences to their local TD.
Educate Together feels that the delay of the parents’ survey is preventing children from accessing a multi-denominational education setting, should they wish to do so.
