Education Minister will take time before deciding how to proceed with Leaving Cert reform

The Minister for Education says she will 'take time' to engage with how to proceed with Leaving Cert reform.

It's after plans for 5th years to sit the English and Irish paper one exams next year were delayed.

The decision was made after opposition to the plans from students and teachers.

Education Minister and Kerry Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley says there needs to be more engagement about the idea.
