€40,000 has been allocated for road safety and improvement works at Lisheen Cross in Gneeveguilla.
The section of roadway in East Kerry has seen several traffic accidents over the last number of years.
Cllr Jackie Healy- Rae said that residents of Gneeveguilla and Tureencahill have been living in fear due to the dangerous road conditions.

He hopes that the Government will provide more money for the local authority to address more accident blackspots across the county
