€100,000 for conservation-led upgrades on Tralee’s Castle Street

€100,000 has been allocated to support conservation-led upgrades on Castle Street in Tralee.

The Heritage Council has announced that 18 historic towns will share €2 million in funding under the 2026 Historic Towns Initiative.

€100,000 has been allocated to support building owners carry out conservation-led upgrades of buildings on Castle Street.

The focus of the scheme on Castle Street will be to improve the streetscape, repair historic elements, and support owners to develop vacant buildings.

This follows on from a similar project last year, and a 2024 Tralee Chamber of Commerce-commissioned report supported by the Heritage Council.
