The power of smell is the subject of a documentary that will receive its world premiere in Waterville this evening as part of Earth Day.
The film, ‘Ireland and Its Aromatic Heritage’, was filmed in Kerry and celebrates native plants such as bog myrtle and meadowsweet, and their scents.
The documentary by US director and artist Dr Gayil Nalls is being shown at Tech Amergin with doors open from 7.30pm.
She’s the creator of the World Sensorium project, which is endorsed by UNESCO, seeks to identify and preserve natural scents that best capture a country or culture’s heritage.
