Kerry County Council’s decision to grant planning for 85 new homes in Kenmare has been appealed to the national planning body.
OFSolutions Ltd had been granted planning to build a mix of houses and apartments at The Parsonage, Bell Height, Kenmare, subject to 24 conditions.
The development was to comprise 13 terraced houses, 24 semi-detached houses, and four blocks of one and two-bed apartments.
Several third parties have now appealed this to An Coimisiún Pleanála, citing issues including the potential impact on a historic famine wall and mature trees.
The national planning body is due to decide on the case by 10th August.
