A do not swim order has been issued for Rossbeigh beach due to a suspected marine algae bloom in the area.
Kerry County Council took the action on the advice of the Marine Institute.
The council says additional sampling will take place, and the situation is being closely monitored by Kerry County Council.

The notice has been posted to the www.beaches.ie website.
It says situation will be kept under review.
